Volunteer Opportunities
An ambassador is a good will volunteer for the Chamber who makes members feel appreciated, makes them aware of the Chamber’s function, and encourages them to become involved in the Chamber’s Annual Business Plan.
The Ambassador’s primary responsibility is to encourage the retention of existing members and the recruitment of new members. This is accomplished by site visits and activity in Chamber events. It is recommended that an Ambassador visit a new member within the first two weeks of membership.
A candidate for an Ambassador is any individual who is a member or employee of a business that is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The individual can be from any level of that organization. The required qualities of candidates are that they must be dependable, enjoy meeting other people, a proponent of the Chamber and have an understanding of the Chamber’s mission statement.
